Poppy
Papaveracae

The poppy flower has no scent and secretes no nectar, but it spends it's pollen lavishly and from the first morning of bloom poppies are plundered by bees. Frank Kingdon Ward discovered Blue Poppies in the Himalayas and introduced them to England in 1924. The intensity of the blue colouring depended on the soil and climate, therefore the poppies did not do well in chalk.
